If you were a ranger for 4 years could you possibly be elegible for employment at blackwater? What about 8 years? Is it only special ops and seals that can work for them cause Rangers are right there as far as training.

Well I cant talk for the navy seals but I know rangers is just one step under special forces you cant deny that, RIP is pretty intense, although not special forces I agree.

My husband says Ranger is Special Ops. Blackwater will take any military specialty. They use truck drivers, helo pilots, and Rangers-Spec Forces. Also Blackwater pays 5 times as much as mil-pay.

When my husband got back from his first tour in Iraq in 2004, Blackwater was recruiting anyone. They were passing out flyers in his unit and he considered going. He was an E4 w/ less than 2 years in, Regular Army. You don't have to have any special training to work for Blackwater, they take any ex-military members.

Blackwater is looking for specific skill sets. Just about anybody can apply but you will only be accepted if you have a specific skill they need.

Generally they are looking for people with some sort of background and training for dealing with hostile situations that are not actually combat. Skills in escorting vehicles, protecting personnel, and dealing with civilians are examples of the skills they need. (This is why military police are hired by Blackwater - training in skills other than combat only.)

Blackwater will take anyone with Army/Marine experience, especially those with combat experience. The idea that contractors are all SF is a myth. One of my old platoon members works for BW right now in Iraq and he was a medic with the Army National Guard (he did see combat).

Rangers are sooooo not "right there" but ya, blackwater has support guys, comm guys, file clerks, all types..... Probably depends on how long you been out of country. They have a good website, tells all.
