I caught a 12 1/2 pound Walleye while Bass fishing in New Mexico at Lake Sumner on a Texas rigged Gene Larew white/silver claw saltcraw with a 1/4 oz worm weight and 4/0 Owner offset hook. I also caught that same day 4 nice Crappie, a small Cannel Catfish and my first Nortern Pike, a small one about 12 inches long. Every one of those was caught on different colored saltcraws. Funny thing was I didn't catch any bass that day.
That is still one of my favorite fish catchingest lures I ever used.

I was up in the boundary waters, in Minnisota a few miles away from canada where we go every year, and I was fishing for smallmouth bass with my grandpa when I had a Massive hit, and my line snapped within three seconds so I tied on another jig and leach and casted out again and I had another Gigantic hit(although not as big as the first), I was an experienced fisherman but that fish was taking out so much line I couldn't stop it, but finaly after a long time the bass started to get tired and I started to gain back some of the line that I had lost. After about ten minutes of spectacular jumps, runs and dives Grandpa netted it. It was 23 inches long and over 6 pounds and was the biggest smallmouth bass I had ever caught.
I have also caught a 9 pound northern on a musky jitterbug and a few very big walleye(on a sinker, hook and worm rig), and big largemouth bass(on deep diving crankbaits), and slab crappies(on a bobber sinker and worm rig) and plenty of big perch on red jigs and worms.

My Dad's biggest Northern was 15 pounds and he caught it with his bare hands, and my grandpa had caught 2 or 3 northerns that were about 30 pounds(although he speared most of those).

I also have plenty of other storys but I think that this is enough.

Hope that helps and Happy Fishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

65 lb., Halibut in Juneau AK., Gastineau Channel, bottom jiggin' with spoon and herring strip. My fetish however is Steelhead and the largest be a 22 1/2 lb buck, followed up by a 19 3/4 hen on the Mattole River, Petrolia CA., drift fishin' (bank) with Salmon roe for the buck and a Hot-Shot lure for the hen... Biggest Chinook (King Salmon) was a 32 lb'er, again in Juneau w/ a Flatfish.

18 1/2 lb Common carp, lake fishing, late november, hard frost, 3am in the morning on a hair-rigged cambells meat ball in tomato sauce. I have caught several 15lb plus fish whilst waggler fishing for roach on a match rod and 2lb line. Luckily it was on a shelf in open water so I managed to get them in! I generally don't fish for carp but would love to break the 20lb barrier eventually.

My favourite fish, even though not the biggest, was a roach that was just a shade under 2lb.

I just went out roach and perching at a small local caravan park Loch near my home town.
I was just using light tobys and other various spoon and spinners as it was early in the morning and the site shop hadnt yet opened to buy maggot.
Rumours had it there were carp in the water, but no catches for years.
I just cast out with a wee green and yellow spoon on a basic 8 pound line (with no drag set). As soon as it hit the water, a massive 18 and half pound Ghost carp erupted to the surface and swallowed the thing whole. Took me 10 minutes of fighting. God knows how i got it to the side. I sent a in and got my piccy in the angeling times.

I caught a pike basking by the shore in the Lake District with a float when I was 15. It took what seemed like an hour to reel it in!

32 pound salmon, using egg sacs and berkly powerbait at 18 mile creek in Olcott, NY off Lake Ontario. The fall run is always good there.

Side note, I was fishing 2 rods, my salmon rod and my backup...a Ugly Stik ultra lite with a mitchel 300 reel using 30lb spiderwire.....guess which rod the fish hit? It was definately a sight watching me work a 30lb fish on a tiny little rod....But now I swear by those rods....but now i use a more capable backup.

I was in a rowing boat at Bridlington. We only used a fishing line with weights on, and mussels and squid. I caught 2 Dabs and a Gurnard. When we got back to shore, the fishermen said that we were lucky cos it's spines are poisonous. Tasted real good though.
