OH GOSH YES! I swear by coconut oil. it has to be organic, virgin, UNrefined coconut oil, which you can find in a high end grocery store like Whole Foods, in the cooking oil section. I use it on my hair and on my skin in lieu of lotion or cream. I LOVE it.

May I support the person who suggested beer? It's a real old-wives' tale, but in the days before conditioners rinsing with beer (and sometimes with tea, but not at the same time) gave a good gloss. I doubt it would de-frizz really curly hair, but it certainly used to add 'shine and manageability,' to use the ad-words, when I had to use it 'cos there was nothing else.

You can put some conditioner into a bottle and add water to it to make a leave in conditioner but I'd really suggest a heat protection

take coconut oil and massage your head with it every night. Make sure when you're washing out the oil you're using a gentle shampoo, even better a henna shampoo.
