Your parents probably backed out because you did something wrong, to be grounded. Parents may say they will do something but it nay be a bad day or something else came up. It sounds to me that you want everything your way and that`s it. You have to earn your parents respect and trust. So mind your P&Q`S and maybe then your parents will do what they say.

sometimes just like kids parents have bad days too...wait a couple of days and talk to your parents calmly about how this made you feel. actually, a good parent eill realize this and come talk to you first, there may be more to it than you realize or are thinking about. look at your parents side and then your side again...have they ahd more stress than usual?

I'm sorry that some parents do this to their kids... I've always done my best to honour my promises. I know how it feels to be on the other end - to wait hopefully and to have my hopes destroyed..... my motto is don't expect anything and you can't get disappointed! Sorry

Parents are usually pretty buzy people. Maybe you asked when your parents were to stressed out to pay attention to your question. When they are relaxed ask them why they changed their minds. It very well could be they never really heard what you asked.
