FIRST:

NEVER, EVER put your privat email address in the clear on as website like that - you will get SO MUCH spam and junk email .... reeally, remove the question as soon as possible and re-submit it...

Second:
To find travel partners, post your request on the Lonely Planet Thorntree - there you will get lot's of useful help, adice, and responses from other travellers (link below).

If you need specific travel advice, have a look at my profile, I answer a lot of travel questions...

Hope that helps

Happy Trails

Philip

Sounds like fun. Remember you need work permits in these countries if you intend to work there.

I do know a several of people going to Japan for the World Science Convention and are taking a guided tour.

You might contact travel agencies and see if you could become a guide.

Travel is fun. I have been to Australia, Tahiti, Ireland, and Scotland.

Where are you living? Its very daunting to go travelling on your own, but these are very safe countries. Stay in hostels and you'll seriously meet lots of people. Maybe do a contiki tour for a start and get some contacts from there. I'm from over that way and not the most adventurous when it comes to travelling on my own, but would definitely do it in NZ and Oz. If you live in the UK go onto the website www.gumtree.com. There is a section there for travel buddies. Have a great holiday and just do it on your own. I promise you, you'll have an absolute ball.

I frequently choose floor return and forth, yet for long journeys, air return and forth is lots quicker, so i'm going to apply it if i'm in a great hurry. i've got moved from the East Coast to the West Coast, and any such trip takes approximately 4 or 5 days by means of vehicle, if i don't stop long everywhere, yet there's a lot thrilling surroundings alongside the way that I omit by means of air return and forth.

Check out immigration laws regarding working on a tourist visa to these countries. Sometimes you can join a tour already in progress if it's not full.
