Too many. It is hard to compile because of the mass quantity of dogs being euthanized across the country. In the U.S. it is estimated that MILLIONS of dogs and cats are euthanized yearly. Most of them just because there aren't enough homes.

It is said only 10% to 30% of puppies born will find life long, permanent homes. Too many people breed because "their friends" want a puppy, but when those puppies are born, the desire for the work of a dog vanishes.

It is 6.2 million and its hard for me to say but the only reason they kill them is because they are sick and can not pay for the medicine they do the same with every animals. its disgusting how they kill them they're either gassed, burned, suffocated, etc. I have a dog and I saved her from being killed.
