My friend wants to know if he is overweight. He's 5 feet one inches tall and 115-120 pounds. He's a guy.

haha but seriously noone can say for sure if the guy is fat based on his height and his weight. So you know what his weight is but do you know how much of that weight is fat, lean muscle, or bones, etc? My suggestion for him would be to get his body fat %. There are numerous ways for you to do so, for example, calipers, bioelectric impedences, hydrostatic weighing, air displacement, etc.
It's a much more efficienct as well as accurate way of figuring out a) "if you're fat" but more accurately access what your bodyfat % is
