Last year I took in a stray that was pregnant. She gave birth on May 1st. I also didnt know who the father of the kittens was. I took her to the vet had her checked out. They told me to set up an area for her to have the kittens, a box a bed or something. I set up a big box with a bed in it. just make sure the sides arent to high. She had the babies in it and when I was ready to start weaning the kittens I put litter in a little box they put the cans in at the store and put food in there some hard food sitting in a little pit of milk so it got soggy. If you have any questions just email me luckegurl_13@yahoo.com
Oh and soon after the kittens are born take the momma and her kitttens to the vet. Also, Everycat is different. Mine wanted us there when she was hving the kittens. If we left she followed us. And she let us hold the babies all the time. If you kitty wants privacy though make sure you do check and see that labor goes well and that the kittens are ok.
I ended up keeping all but 1 of the kittens. And my parents took momma kitty. Momma Kitty had 7 healthy kittens. I have now have 6 healthy kittens that arent even a year old yet. And none of the kittens were born dead so that was good. But watching her give birth was rather gross

I doubt the mama cares who the father is, so you shouldn't either. She will take care of herself and her kittens.
Odds are she will go to your underwear drawer and give birth, or somewhere else that you didn't want her to. Give her a day and then you can GENTLY move the kittens to a box with hay or some bedding material in it like your ruined underwear.
Ask your vet how long after the kittens are born to both get her fixed and what shots they need as well.
And finally give the kittens away to the neighborhood kids (I'm sure their parents will love you) in about 6 weeks.
But seriously, don't worry about who the father is, in years to come the kittens will not have mental issues from this lack of knowledge.
Hope all turns out well!

The only thing you have to do is to provide the cat a warm comfortable place for the birth. Like a cardboard box or a basket with necessary bedcloths. Most important thing is that the site have walls so the small cats be safe inside. Nature does the rest. You should not even feed them. Feed only the mother cat. She knows everything about growing up essentials.

there is alot of advice here if you type in pregnant cat in search for questions. but don't worry most cats deal with birthing themselves, just provide a cardboard box with newspapers in for her to give birth in. this must be in a quiet place that is dark and warm. place her litter box and food and water close by as for the first few days she won't want to leave her babies. after about six days take mamma and kittys to the vet for a check up. good luck

Mom and kittens will be fine I'm sure..nature will take care of that...As for dad..if you haven't seen him around when she was in heat..just accept the "surprise"....They will be lovely kittens I'm sure. Get Momma spayed when she weans her kittens (check with your vet to be sure)...and give her kittens to only good homes if you can't keep them...Good Luck

Your cat should have already been checked over by the vet. My vet wanted to see Momma and her kittens 24 hours after birth to make sure everyone was healthy. Go see your vet, he will explain to you any intervention you might need to do.

She'll be fine, just make her a nice spot in a closet or somewhere private, and make sure she has water-she probably won't want to eat. Then just leave her alone. Kitties are very private naturally, and do NOT want their bebies touched. So, just leave her alone. She'll be fine. You can look at the bebies, but don't try to touch them til they're a couple days old.
