No 2 kittens are the same (like us :o) ) but the average for an 8mth kitty is: 6-10 mths 4 kitten pouches; 2 pouches + 40 - 60g dry food; or 60 - 80 g dry food. These are just guidlines, as some will eat more than this or less - depending on the cat. Cats in general do not eat all that is put out (as a dog will woolf it all down, regardless!). Although many say give 4-5 meals a day for the kitten, mine has probably 8 sittings(!) albeit much smaller portions (which are not always finished off). With various treats and nutritious supplements, adjust the amounts. Kitty will always let you know if he/she is hungry - they are growing now at a fast rate - but their tummy's are still tiny!

P.S. Plenty of fresh water - more if on dry food only...

from what i've read, most cats/kittens will not eat more than they need. They will stop eating when they're full enough. My cat is 6 months, he gets 1 pouch of food in a morning, one in the evening and afew treats here and there. We always leave out plenty of dry food for him and always make sure there is fresh water available.

if you still want to give him/her a set amount, there are plenty of websites that wil help you, or you could ask your vet :)

A kitten should be fed a specially designed diet for that age group. Any brand of a good enough quality will state precisely on the packaging the requirements for your kitten.

In doubt, visit your nearest vet surgery, they will have the appropriate diet and advices (without a consultation)

Good luck

As much as he/she wants.

As cats rarely overeat they should be given free access to food so they can "graze" to their little heart's content.
