I have serious joint pains. Can someone have arthritis at the age of 24? What else could cause such pains?

I get pains in my wrist, elbow, knees, etc.. Sometimes the pain shoots down my whole arm or whole leg. It feels like it is deep in there. Almost feels like growing pains I had as a youth. (not growing anymore trust me, i'm 24 and 5'11 woman). Right now I have this horrible pain in my elbow, well not the bone part but the other side of the elbow (inner side), feels deep in there. It's like a shooting yet consistent pain. It hurts so bad!!!

Oh and I've never broke anything besides my pinky toe. But I do have a kind of "double joint" in my knees and elbow.

I am 24 and I have psoriatic arthritis. You are not alone! Let me tell you the advice that I wish someone would've told me much earlier when I was trying to figure out what I had. If you think it's arthritis, go to a rheumatologist! They are the only ones who are qualified to diagnose joint pains. Here are the docs I went through before finally getting diagnosed: General Practitioner, Neurologist/Pain specialist, Orthopedic surgeon, Hand surgeon, and finally, a rheumatologist! It was 9 months before I was finally diagnosed. Does arthritis run in your family? There are many different types of arthritis. Your best bet is to go to a rheumatologist!

What do you think about going to see a chiropracter or getting something called deep tissue massage? The pain could be a number of things but if you have any vertebrae out of alignment it will hurt and ache like arthritis. It'll even hurt in areas that don't seem to be connected to the spine. Also there are some foods in the"nightshade" family such as potatoes, eggplants, peppers and tomatoes that when eaten will cause arthritic like pain in the joints and body. Theres a chemical called solanine present in these veggies and in individuals that are sensitive to it it'll cause a reaction like what you're describing. You might also want to consider taking a liquid form of calcium & magnesium citrate together. A company called "Bluebonnet " makes this and it'll really take the edge off of the pain and help you sleep better at night too.Magnesium and calcium shortages in the body are pretty common and cause all sorts of unwanted health problems.Talk to a chiropracter & massage therapist andavoid the night shade veggies and take some liquid mag/calcium and you should start feeling better.Good luck.

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now.

If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine.

Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid.

And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again.

I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen.

It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis.

Today, I want to do the same for you!

It's atypical to have osteoarthritis at your age which is a degenerative condition but there are other types of arthritis that can develop like rheumatoid or lupus. This is more likely if the arthritis pains are symetrical and affect both wrists or both elbows but doesn't necessarily have to be that way. If you have a family history of arthritis that would push the case farther. Might be worth getting a work up by a doc or seeing a rheumatologist which specializes in this.

Pain in the joints could be due to various reasons. Some of the most common reasons are bursitis, muscle pains,
arthritis, overexertion or other diseases.Sometimes, small or large joints on both sides of the body may be affected. Most of the joint pains can be cured but for some types like joint pain, (pain due to osteoarthritis),treatment will only help in reducing the pain.
