We have a chocolat Lab , my family lives in Europe and I'm going for a visit of 2 weeks . My husband has to work and leaves the house at 6:00 am and is back home at 5:30 pm.
Is it better for the dog to stay home alone ( we have 1/2 acre back yard ) or is it better for the dog to be in a kennel for 2 weeks while I'm gone .

Well it depends on the weather, if its nice outside and ur dog loves to be outside, have ur husband put the dog out when he leaves and bring the dog in when he comes home. But if ur dog can hold it leave it inside. If ur dog gets along well with other dogs, and u have the money then take ur dog to a kennel.

Ummmm, that is always a very hard decision to make. But there is a possible third choice. Could you leave her with a close friend while you are gone? hope that helps.=]

well it depends....is your dog trained? If the dog is trained and it is warm out....you could probably leave the dog outside or you can probably leave the dog inside the house or cage.

Do you have a close friend you trust to come over everyday to feed and water your dog. That's what we do. You have to have someone you really trust. I have never hired a come over pet sitter...
