Well in my own personal experience....whenever i have been single ive found that the opposite sex seem less interested in me.....yet when i become attached women become more interested, more flirty.
Im a 22 year old engaged male....
Since ive been engaged (dec 23 06) ive been hit on in some way by 4 different women, found women in generaly are a lot more flirty with me....whats the deal with that???

You aren't a threat so these attached women can be real and more at ease, without the strings being attached between the two of you. Generally, they are just testing to make sure that they are still wanted and not just by their steady or husband. They want to be wanted by others, but generally don't go beyond the tease. It is nice anyway, because it makes you feel good about yourself too. The grass is not always greener in the other yard.

Attached men seem more stable and secure to some women. Weird, but true. Make sure that if you want to stay engaged and eventually married that you do not encourage these women. Women who "hunt" for attached males are not a good bet in the long run. If they did it once, they will probably do it again.

I have found the same thing. It has got to be that we no longer care and don't have that desperate look. LOL
Also confidence. Single men and women love the opposite sex who have bag loads of confidence. Forget about looks, money, etc etc, for someone who is at ease with themselves has far bigger pulling power than your average Joe or Jane.

The reason women will flirt with a married man as opposed to a single man is that a married man is "safe" meaning he won't be aggressive and generally will not flirt back if he knows what is good for him. A married man will ignore the coming on to him line that a flirtatious woman will throw at him trying to get him to react.

the real answer is when you are in a happy relationship..im assuming you are since your engaged, you portray that happiness and comfort...you are more outgoing and not desperate when you are already with some one..you less stressed because you not always watching your every move...girls notice those things. and people are attracted to that...i have that same problem, ever since ive been w/ my bf at least once a week i get hit on my guys...not just the sleazy ones either..the real deal..and it sucks cuz im happy with my bf

I hear ya on that one. I will be married for two years now in April, and trust me it gets worse. I thinks its the fact that there is something about a guy is taken that appeals to woman. Like they are missing something or are selfish and want what someone else has. Being married and a married woman hits on ya she is basically saying I have just as much to loose as you do! They want the trill of the hunt and not the relationship Or They now realize you have something to offer them in a relationship that they could not see when you were single Or being single you seemed to needy at that time. Us guys can be just as bad!

Sice your off limits you suddenly become more of a challenge. Also it's more the risk factor there attracked to. Another possibility is you dont notice there flirty with you when your single because its not as big of a deal.

I know exactly how you feel! I have been in both situations recently. People always want what they can't have, we all love a challenge! If you are thinking about this, are you sure your partner is "the one" for you? Just a thought
