How to use Uniden Bearcat BC148XLT?

Just got one , how do I use it?

1. To program the first channel, press Manual 1 Manual
2. Enter a Frequency, don't forget the decimal point
3. Press E
4. Press Hold (This will advance the scanner to the next channel)
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until all channels are programmed

Lockout blocks a specific channel from being scanned and you can only access it by manually stepping to it. WX access NOAA weather radio. Delay keeps the scanner from resuming scanning after the carrier drops for a certain period of time. This is so you can hear the whole conversation. It won't start scanning again until they shut up for awhile. That's pretty much it. It's a simple scanner!

my bearcat will not hold program..you can program but when you go back to check it..it reads all 0000000
