It is very likely your bishop will give you a dispensation. You really should be asking your priest this, though -- he is in a much better position to know than anyone here.

You cannot have two ceremonies as some other answerers suggested. This is against cannon law and cannot be dispensed by the bishop. You can, however, get a dispensation to marry a non-catholic (I did) and a dispensation to marry in some place other than a catholic church (I did). If you get married in a protestant church or outside makes little difference. The point is that it is not in a catholic church.
So, I'm sure that you will have no problems getting a bishop to approve your marriage - assuming there is nothing else preventing it.

Since 1100 AD, Catholics started marrying in a church setting because the Church started doing a more standard way of handling things such as weddings.
In America, most Catholic dioceses do not allow outdoor weddings. The reason is that with the increase of divorce, the Church is concerned that people are losing their sense of seriousness taking their wedding vows.
In some cases, both priest and minister of the non-Catholic faith are present at the marriage cermony.
As always, please consult your own priest about your wedding questions and details

I would start with your parish priest. What, perhaps, you might want to consider is two ceremonies, one a small private RC ceremony so you are married 'in the church' if that is a true concern of yours OR, perhaps, you can have a co-marriage, where both the minister and the priest are present. If you have a good relationship with your parish priest, I would start there...each diosese differs as to what they allow in leeway. Also, this is not your mother's wedding, it is yours and your fiance's...if you don't really care, religiously, who marries you, I would say please your fiance before your mother.

inside or outside should not be an official issue
my guess is you could have a small Catholic Wedding ceremony by a priest before or after or alongside ... perhaps some friendly Catholic priest might do it ... and they would likely be satisfied ... just a guess...
truthfully there is no official description I know of exactly how a wedding ceremony should go in the BIble... God holds people accountable for the promises made to eachother and they can be in many forms

Catholics are not supposed to marry outside? That seems strange, as many weddings in Jesus's time were outside. Well you could always just ask, as asking never hurts anyone :-)
Or be like us... hop a plane to Vegas hehehe.

I don't like your chances of getting a Catholic bishops approval--tribal competition between denominations don't allow that measure of tolerance--but best of luck anyway!!--:]

this is why the cult is so messed up.
you go to asexual people who will never marry, for marriage counseling and advice. many of whom either raped and molested kids, or protected those who did.
damm, what is wrong with you people?
