This is astupid question for a homework assignment.Huh? I just need a fast answer. And thanks for your attention. mtzchic2

Lots of houses distribute heat unevenly. You could hook up a thermostat to your ceiling fan so if your room gets hot your ceiling fan comes on.

Use the thermos and the thermostat with a stopwatch and a thermometer to set up an experiment for determining the time it takes for different liquids to cool off from different temperatures. You could also use different brands of thermos flasks to test their insulation factor.

You would connect the thermostat to the stopwatch so that when the liquid has cooled it stops the clock and sets off an alarm to warn you.

I used a thermostat to regulate the temperature in a wooden box.....fan came on to cool if it got hot..light came on to heat it if it got cold..

great way to keep home made beer at the right temp while its fermenting..

could be used to keep eggs at the right temp whilst incubating..

carry soup, hot chocolate... etc. that's what they're made for. not supposed to be used for anything else really.
