I think you should keep in mind that you are only in 5th grade. be her friend for now and wait awhile. If you can not wait a letter is good way to ask if you are afraid.

You're much too young to be thinking about girlfriends. You're still young. Go ride a bike, climb trees, scrape your knees, pick on your siblings. Enjoy being a kid while you still can, because once you become an adult things get a lot tougher. My suggestion is to just always be yourself and in a few years she may decide that she likes you. But definitely wait to get girlfriends. I'm sure you're a great kid. Keep being a great kid.

Just chill out , play it cool and tell her all the things she might want to hear before you pop the question. Tell her she looks nice smells good and you like her style of clothes or something. Impress her but not too dramatic!

well you ask a really good friend to ask her for you if you're too shy it's okay or just ask her do you want to go to the theaters if she says yes ask her out after the theatres that's all i'm gonna say
