the same question but no one will give me an answer. Why won't you show me a fossil of a lizard that's front appendages aren't legs but aren't fully developed wings yet either, or some similar fossil? If evolution is fact they must exist literally by the thousands if you have millions of fossils to choose from which you claim prove evolution.

chancelikely, Archaeopteryx does not fit what I ask for as it had fully developed wings.

Wdoncha, chickens can fly, what universe do you come from?

Tattman, I've been to natural history museums before, I find all of Jehovah God's creations, amazing, but there is no proof of evolution.

2007-03-20 11:07:14 · update #3

The Archaeopteryx is no link, it is Jehovah God's creation just as is, God loves variety and created many creatures we might consider strange but they are their own creations not links.

There are no flaws in the Bible, only to unbelievers there are and simply because God won't give you understanding of his word because you have no belief in God or faith.

I read plenty of articles on dionsaurs and evolution and fossils, they have all these fossils of fully developed creatures but no true transitional fossils, fossils of two creatures one with slight differences does not prove evolution, just adaptation as they are the same creature not the link to a new species. I've been interested in fossils and dinosaurs the majority of my life of 51 years, I see no evolution, and even collected fossils during some of my years. I just see a variety of created creatures.

acid_zeb, I see lots of individual creations of God, I can not see where you say there are any links, most are just artists renditions of what they believe the creature would have looked like, in most cases, they don't have all of the fossilized bones and fill things in as they see fit, especially when it comes to the apes.

2007-03-20 11:29:23 · update #7

Like i said before, still no proof, just lots of artists renditions, people's imaginations, and worldly wisdom which is foolishness with God.

Just believe God made dinosaurs. I am a Christian, but Lord Almighty I just can accept Creation. But I love Jesus all the same.

Simply because you can imagine an specific intermediate species that you should expect to find, that doesn't mean that that specific species ever existed. And even if it did, the chances that we would find a fossil are still pretty low. The link between reptiles and birds is the Archaeopteryx. It has some features of a bird, while retaining some features of a dinosaur. We only have 11 of these samples. So your assertion that there should be plentiful examples in the fossil record doesn't pass the test of logic.

You mean like Archaeopteryx, the dinosaur with feathered arms that weren't quite wings?

Or how about Xianglong zhaoi, a lizard with wing-like membranes stretched across its ribs, or any other of the feathered lizards whose fossils have been found in China?

How about a fossil snake with legs, for that matter?

Or a whale with tiny vestigial structures that are the remnants of limbs of the past?

There are tons of transitional fossils out there, and more are being found all the time. Look around it bit. Take a class. Check out some books. There is plenty of proof of evolution, unless you just don't want to hear it.

Actually, fossils are very rare by there nature. It is very rare that an animal dies in the right conditions to be fossilized. Much less actually survive intact to our time. But if one kind of transitional fossil is holding you back from accepting evolution, despite the immense evidence for it, then you just aren't opening your mind to it.

Your ignorance is astonishing and you should be embarrassed - what's even more outlandish is that you're advertising your complete lack of education, intellect and reason.

There is quite literally tons of evidence supporting evolution, and absolutely NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER of god or Jesus other than a book that is KNOWN to have been written by men.

The bible is wrong in many places. If you don't know that, you haven't read it cover to cover like I (and many other 'unbelievers') have.

If you won't read The Origin of Species, where the Theory of Evolution is clearly explained, you should at least read your own bible, and ask yourself how this "all knowing" god, manages to devote so many pages to telling us exactly how to kill and prepare his sacrifices and worship him, but can't seem to get it together enough to tell us how to handle nuclear weapons, terrorists or even global warming, all of which he CERTAINLY knew about at the time the bible was written and clearly affect all of humanity as well as creation in significant ways. Or perhaps he just didn't care - not nearly as important as how to kill those animals when we worship this god.

Strange beliefs you have.

This isn't the drive thru, you don't get to pick and choose the features you want to see. But, go to a museum, and look at the multitude of fossils they have on record. Maybe ask someone who works there to explain how evolution really works. But, I would imagine anything they said, or I am saying now, is falling on deaf ears(or blind eyes in this case.).

You have to stop thinking like a Creationist. Thats your first problem...

A lizard with "fully developed wings" isnt a lizard, is it? so how can one show you this? How about, instead, we look to the chicken...

Chickens cant fly right? So, why have wings? Their wings are useless, right? Well, uh, no they arent. See, if I threw you and a chicken off a five story building, your brains would be all over the ground, while that chicken with the half developed wings that are "useless" is flapping madly and landing softly on the ground... So, it appears after all that half formed organs can have purpose as well.

As for your lizard with wings, please check Archeopterex.

Considering there is more proof for evolution, even after you cherry pick your evidence to the contrary- then there is fro Creation as per the Bible's description=

Has anyone fouind the Garden of Eden yet?

With a name like "biblehelp", I knew it would be an absurd question.

I am not a scientist so I don't know this answer, but I can read. Can you? Better yet, can you be educated? We should meet at the library. We can look to see who can find more DOCUMENTED PROOF of our beliefs. I am talking about proof from books (plural) that are also documented proof.

Research on the Icaronycteris, there is a fossil of this on the website listed below.

Certainly. Here you go:

That story came out yesterday. Thanks for reminding me.
(Of course you're aware those are the same ribs as on birds, right?)

EDIT: BY THE WAY, um, we can all look at the questions you asked, so I'd be careful about claiming you keep asking something. I await your apology, BTW.
