By the grace of God? That nothing we can do can get us to heaven, and nobody is good and no one seeks after God (Romans 3:10) But that it is only by the grace of God through faith we are saved? (Ephesians 2:8)
Jesus Christ is the only way truth and life and no one comes to the Father but through Him (John 14:6)
We cannot earn our way to heaven, Jesus Christ was the one sacrifice, so that those who believe, and repent of sin would have eternal life, be born again and washed clean of sin....we are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, which is Jesus Christ!
Do you think if you do "good deeds" this will give you a ticket to the kingdom of Heaven?
John 3:3 says "Unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God"
--That is to be born again of the spirit of God, washed clean by believing in Jesus Christ, and putting your trust in Him. He is the only access to the Kingdom---He is the only one who can forgive us our sins! He died on the cross and rose again for our justification!

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

I absolutely do believe this. This is a premise that no person would invent. There is nothing I can do, outside of accepting Christ, to have eternal life in Heaven with Christ. By the same token, there is nothing I can do, once I am saved, to "unearn" my salvation.
There are many terrific books that help explain the concept of Christian grace. RC Sproul is a great one. Also Josh McDowell, and Ravi Zacharias. God bless you!

Absolutely. Nobody that reaches Heaven deserves to be there. It is only by the grace of God that we make it there.

God already knows that no one is perfect and that no one hasn't sinned, so that's why he sent Jesus down to Earth to save us from our sins. He just gave us some guidelines so we know what's expected of us and what's right. We can earn our way into heaven, we must ask for forgiveness and forgive others.

No. No I don't. I see that you do, and you have a lot of Bible references to back up your claims. Good for you! Everyone should know at least one work of literature well, and as literature goes the Bible is up there.
And now we can relax, comfortable in our own beliefs, which (I trust) we will not try to impose on others.

I believe that grace is free; undeserved and unmerited.
I do not, however, believe that I can say this little puff prayer and be saved forever. I believe that I have to cooperate with God's free gift.
