I will never talk to them again. I have said I 've got to go or see ya later but never have I just hung up. By doing so it signals that you have absolutley no value of that person. And it has happened to me a few times. My policy- never talk to them again.

Actually, I am wrong, I have hung up on telemarketers but I do not really consider that hanging up on someone. It has been so long since I have had a telemarketing call- I have been on the do not call list and forgot all about those calls. I am talking about people that I know.

I have always felt this was a girl thing-hanging up. I suppose it is one way that they feel they can take charge of a situation and be in control. I had a close relative do it to me 3 or 4 years ago- goodbye to you to.

I've never hung up on someone I know, only on telemarketers, and I sure hope they don't want to talk to me again! I sure don't want to talk to them!

I would not hang up on somebody. It shows that you don't care at all about them. I even maintain this consideration for telemarketers. Usually I just say "I'm not interested, but thank you for calling." Sometimes you have to say it 3 or 4 times. The worst I ever had was when the telemarketer would not give up. I finally said "Look, I said 'no' very nicely 4 times now, and you don't accept it. I am going to hang up now."

i have done it and will continue to do it. in fact, i did it yesterday to avoid losing my cool and cursing someone out. the whole thing worked itself out in the end. its really not that serious to say "never talk to them again" that's real petty, its nothing. it happens. i also do it if i can't get someone off the phone. if i say a whole heap load of times, "alright, i need to go now." and they keep talking and rambling on and on, i will hang up. no problem. its not that i have no value for the person as you put it, in either of the above situations, its me doing whats best for me. that may be conceited or being an ****** in your eyes, but that's the truth. and honestly, you are not able to judge. and again, if you do, its whatev.
