The anonymous nature of the internet. It allows people to let their darker impulses to come out. Every time someone said something and a person bit off a harsh retort in the real world, they make up for it tenfold online. If everyone answering a yahoo answers questions were around a table, trust me, the rudeness would evaporate because no one likes to be labled AS rude...they like to be rude here because no one can find out who they are.
So screw you. Kidding (seriously, just a joke...and I'd do that one in person if we were talking to one another!).

People on here are rude because they want the points that they earn for giving an answer and don't care if they hurt someones feelings while they do it. There are actually more of them around than there are of the nice people but we are here.
I know what you are talking about (your last question) and personally, I think that you are very pretty and should ignore the idiots who posted nasty things about you. Nothing wrong with asking opinions and it is a shame that EVERYONE feels that they have to give one even if it makes no sense or hurts someone.

We are not all rude,,,im one of the genuinely nice people. We do exsist. Sorry about the answers you got before. Some people just have nothing better to do than put others down. Its called a hater.

I think people are rude, because they don't know how else to be. Something obviously is not going right in their lives, so other than change what is going on. They decide to be rude to people who have no control over that. I only wish there were more people who were geuinely nice. To say that rude people make the world go round (its true) unfortunately..only because all the nice people in the world are probably afraid to stand up and tell the rude people to shut their mouths. So hence, we have a world full of rude people. Although i am certain there are nice people out there. Well us nice guys are here but I don't know for how much longer..I just got turned in for a violation and I did nothing wrong. Answers is becoming sucky cause of this reason. You try to help someone and they turn you in. Thats why most people have stopped using answers.

Human nature... some people are nice because they are more tolerant than others. That pretty much separates the good and bad. People are rude because their life sucks so they feel the need to extend the courtesy to the rest of us.

Think of it this way, the rude people help us to appreciate the nice people that much more.
Feel sorry for the rude/unkind folks...they are sad indeed if being unkewl to someone is how they get their own self esteem boost...and they're just building up bad karma for themselves.

Rude people are irritating..... some just dont know that we are suppose to love one another, they dont have morals or care about anyone but themselves.... they dont believe in God either.......... that's the way of the world anymore.... I'm nice, and very giving and caring.

Because they are hiding behind the computer and/or they also feel superior and judge others harshly. Cruel words have not helped anyone but it doesn't stop people from doing it. With the tongue we both curse and praise.
Just don't stoop to their level.
