It depends on the cause of the break but it sounds like it needs a crown. See below for a definition and what to expect:

In the UK the average NHS dental price for a crown is £189. Private dental costs vary and a dental plan may be a good idea.

The repair depends on the extent of the damage. The dentist may just have to do a filling. The cost is another story. That depends on where you live and who you see and cheaper does not always mean better in dentistry. Shop around. If there are dental schools near you, have one of the students do it. They need patients, they are graded on their work by licensed dentists and it is much cheaper than seeing a regular dentist.

It depends what he has to do, with root canal and a crown about $400 at the minimum. Shop around. Try the Health Department as well. If you can get away with a filling it will be a lot less about $100.

You probably need a crown. It can cost up to $1000 if you don't have dental insurance.

get a crown or an onlay. do not get a stainless steel crown or a porcelain over metal. get belleglass or an equivelent or get porcelain over gold. if you live near mexico, get it there, because it is much cheaper.

They should put a crown on it, and I don't know what it costs.
