Quite a few things. You could go to a museum or aquarium. You could drive towards Hood River along the scenic highway or check out the hatchery and dam where they have 20 foot sturgeons. Go to the coast for a day or have a picnic at a park- Oregon has nice parks. And it's not too hot this time of year, but it will be getting up there. You could go see a movie or a play... Portland has a lot to offer. Check online even for a calendar of events and entertainment in the city.

Portland Maine? Going to the beach, shopping, eating, walking the boardwalk, going sight-seeing. Lots of stuff. And what do you mean by "who he happens to like?" is he attracted to his mom or does he just have a good relationship with her. You need to be more specific when you ask questions.
