I was set up by a colleague of my in to meet this guy. We had dinner and he was very polite and easy to talk to. We had a great time. As we parted, he gave me a hug and said, I'm sure that I'll see you around and maybe next time we could get together w/ our colleague sometime and hang out. Sounds like he just wants to be friends, right?

maybe but he could just be polite. I'd say to really be sure, ask him out again for a just the 2 of you date. if he seems uncomfortable doing that and wants to involve the colleague than its a good bet he isnt interested.

Sounds like he doesn't want to rush into anything but he does want to see you but just not alone. He gave you a hug, that means he was comfortable with you, and that's good. Just hang out and see what happens. I know guys who like to see how they feel after the first date. If they cant stop thinking about you, or, if when they see you again, they get that warm fuzzy feeling.... then they know there can be more. You never know... he may call you tonight or tomorrow and ask you out....good luck.

It's too soon to tell. Hang out a couple more times and see how you guys feel about eachother then. He doesn't want to sound like he's rushing things by asking you out on another date.

Probably. He may just not be good at setting up a second date. If you want to, you might as well go ahead and get ahold of him and see what happens. You never know.
