Ive been with my bf for 2.5 months(im 21,hes24)I am his first gf in 2 yrs.In the beginning i could tell he really cared about me.In the first few weeks he took me to meet his parents and all his friends and he called me all the time.In the last few weeks he has gotten quite distant.I see him once a week and we are usually with his parents or out with friends.he live with 2 other guys in a house, but is moving out on his own on April1.we live 30min apart, and only i drive. He is SO kind and attentive when we are in person, but then i dont see him for almost a week and i REALLY miss him.I brought this up last night and he said he really cares about me and hes not going anywhere.he then said he thinks were moving too fast(he was the one who wanted my to meet his parents so bad)he said hes scared to get too attached b/c his ex hurt him really bad and he doesnt understand y i care about him so much. Why do u think he is acting like this?what should i do now?how much space should i give him?

Give him space. It is hard to give your all to a new relationship if you have recently been hurt, so be understanding. At the moment he is not acting suspiciously, just being naturally wary of a new relationship. If he does start to act suspiciously (once you have been together longer) then by all means start checking up on him, but at the moment just give him space, and it should all come together with time.

The more you advance, the more he will push away...sorry, but that is true. Listen, give him the space. And you know what? If he really wants you around, he will snap out of this, "I'm afraid to get hurt" mentality. I know it is hard, since you displace past loves on present ones, but do not jump to conclusions. Some guys are just really busy, and have lots on their minds. If he does not come around though, and acts suspicious, then you dump his ***. Good luck ~N

He's in a hard spot, something hes not telling you, doesn't seem to be cheating, don't let him get too far, seem him at least once a week, and call him every once in a while.
