If you are ready to accept Allah and only Allah all you have to do is recite the Kalimah (Shahada).
What is your primise to wanting to become muslim? Is it for her or for the sake of Allah? Is it because you are willing to worship one and only one God or is it to get her back?
If it is not for the sake of Allah and only for the sake of Allah then you should re-evaluate your choices.
If you eventually want to try to get back with her and you do accpet Islam and Allah... it would be my advice it is after you learn your prayers and the deen. There is no dating in Islam, only marriage and self respecting Muslimah will not marry a man who is not on his deen for he is the head of the household and has to be able to lead prayers, provide for her and the children, teach the children the ways of Islam and essentally be a man.
Accpet Allah only for the sake of Allah. Not for another person... and if you do accpet Allah, go to the Masjid and have the brothers teach you the way of Islam. Do not rely on her to teach you the basics and what you need to know. This type of interaction between men and women is forbidden in Islam.

If you are really want to follow Islam she will be more than happy for you. Go head and tell the world not only her.

you don't have to believe in Islam to be a muslim. they used to pay money for people to become muslims ( muhammed did that in his life ) .. they call it ( al mua'allafah kolobohom )
the real problem is , if one day you wanted to leave Islam , muslims will kill you. they call it ( Hadd al reddah ) all ex-muslim should be killed.
I understand that you want her back , and I wish it to happen very soon . but if you are going to be a muslim , don't ever think of leaving Islam for any reason.
even if you don't believe in Islam , you should stay a muslim.

some modern religious masters in Islam allowed muslim women to marry non-muslim men , like ( shaikh al karadawy ) .. search for his website : islam online , and tell her about it .

What the He!! are you talking about? How many Muslim ex-women do you have? Are U planning on starting a harem? And why should they care what U do if they are your EX'es?
If you can figure out which one you like best, and she's not married, then you can ask her to marry you. Its really not complicated.

Ofcourse you should. Muslim women are not allowed to marry non-Muslim men. So I'm sure she'll be thrilled when she finds out she has a future with you. Just make sure you are doing it because you are truley convinced of Islam, not just to be with her.

tell her what you want...but be honest....i do not believe in religion...it and politics have caused genocide and every war since mankind stopped fighting over hunting grounds...i do not pray to a Deity that murders innocent people...you and your god are murders...like Noah's flood...known in the bible ....God killed innocent and unborn children in the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah...your religion sucks...and so do all others...do not ask unless you want an honest answer..
