The use of tobacco injures health and defiles the body.

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17.

Nicotine is an addictive substance that enslaves people. Romans 6:16 says that we become servants to whomever (or whatever) we yield ourselves. Tobacco users are servants of nicotine. Jesus says, "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." Matthew 4:10

The tobacco habit is unclean. "Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you." 2 Corinthians 6:17.

So if the bible condemn us not to use, why do so many Christian use tobacoo?

Yes, it does in principle. First, The Bible says: "You must love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39) Love for your neighbors—and your family members are your closest neighbors—is a powerful reason to quit.

Also, by quitting you will be acting in harmony with God's will, since the Bible says: "Let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of [the] flesh." (2 Corinthians 7:1)

Don't feel that it is too late for you to quit; the sooner you quit, the better.

the Bible does not explictly condemn tobacco use. Some people can use natural tobacco (not the chemically enhanced stuff sold to us by the big companies) for mild recreational purposes. Some people are able to smoke pipes reasonably and not get addicted.
I'm a non-smoker and I don't like the smell of cigarettes. But I don't mind the smell, in moderation, of natural tobacco being smoked.

Why do so many Christians do lots of things. I think singling out one fault is just the same as those who have a campaign against gay people or other hot topics. Lets not single out one fault and show those who do struggle "how easy" there choice should be, because its not that easy. Give support not the easy answer.

Because they're hypocrites as well as bigots.

Personally, I smoke cigarettes and cigars and I'm not a slave to anything, since I use them in moderation and don't allow myself to consume more than a certain amount.
