im gonna ask a girl out, but im not sure what to say. i am brave enough to say it to her face that i like her and everything, its not that, i just dont know what to say. im good friends with this girl, so its kinda awkward. should i say that i like her first, and then ask her out? and then if she says yes what do i say? if she says no ill just say thats fine and all that.

Just invite her out first, you don't have to say you like her. Just say "hey, you know I'm thinking about going to see a movie this Friday, wanna come with me?" or something.. use your own words!
Brush her hand every now and then during the "date" and see if she is at all responsive... if she is, try putting your arm around her... if she still seems to be all for it, at the end of the night offer to walk/drive her home and maybe give her a little kiss or even a kiss on the cheek. If she doesn't seem responsive though, just enjoy your time with her. And then ask her out again. She'll catch on that you like her.
Remember to open doors for her, pay for everything and be a real gentleman to her!!

You ask them to their face if they want to go out with you.
Even though I asked my b/f over the internet he asked me out over the phone. I would have rathered been asked out in person, but that's ok because we are still going out.
If she says yes tell her that you have liked her for a while ,or you can start a conversation about something that happened that day.
It shouldn't be that awkward its more that you are nervous.
