Apples, bananas, and peanut butter actually have a good fiber content. Beans are very high fiber, so anything with beans, like burritos, are good. Most cold and hot cereal has a lot of fiber.

Things like lentils, black beans and chick peas are delicious and high in fiber, so are most other dried beans and peas. Green vegetables like broccoli, spinach, and artichoke are too! Also some fruits: pears are great, and dried apricots and dried figs are high in fiber as well. Then of course there are your whole grain items. All of these are things I love to eat!

Try brown rice with black beans, homemade salsa, and cilantro. To really get your whole grains, try using quinoa instead of rice every now and then (although it is expensive). Spinach and artichoke sauteed with garlic is divine. Try making hummus out of chick peas and eat it with some pita bread. Or lentil soup with onions, tomatoes, and cumin. As for broccoli, I like it by itself, just boiled in water that is good and salty and then drained. Choosing whole wheat bread instead of white bread can help, but oatmeal is even better. And enjoy some dried fruits for dessert.
