When I got my bird, I decided I wanted her to have a fancy name like a registered dog or a high quality stallion. I named her Graciella Blubelle and call her Belle for short. My bird is also blue. Study her habits and learn about her before you come to a definite decision. Pick a few names and see if she responds to any of them. Is there a particular song on the radio your bird likes? Give him/her a name that coincides with that song. Is s/he a fan of tv? Watch and see which shows s/he responds to best. Name him/her after a character in the show. There are many ways you could go about naming your bird. Good luck!

Give it a few days and observe your parakeets' personality. Then make a decision. I have a lovebird that I named Stewie. This was based on the fact that it's very cute but bites really hard and seems to want to kill me like Stewie from family guy lol. Hope this helps!

like someone else said, you should observe its personality, but it also depends on your like and personality. My grandparents have had a few parakeets, and a few names are Chipper and Frosty. My cousin has a parrot name Keili. I have a blue masked Love bird named Ryu (dragon) so it all depends on your personality and the birds, because if it's really quiet, you may not want to name it chipper, or such.

I raise Cockatiel Birds. Cockatiels remind me of *Tropical* evironment, so I use Hawaiian names for my babies.

This link http://www.alohafriendsluau.com/names_i-p.html has a page that can translate Names into Hawaiian names, and it also givens *words* with Hawaiian meanings that make beautiful names.

I have a 6 month old Tiel that had a rough start, and had to struggle/fight to keep up with his siblings. I named him KOA (Like Noah, but K instead of N), which means *soldier/fighter* in Hawaiian! I think the name fits well, and also beautiful for a beautiful baby!

I also had another baby I named Kai (like sky, but without the S)...the meaning is *ocean waters*...your baby is blue, what do you think?

Hope this helps!

I always liked Lana (lawn-uh), Illyria (ill-ear-e-uh), Crystal(chris-till), Morgan (more-gin), Moon, Star, Starshine, Moonshine, or Zenith (zee-nith). I like rare names! There also more simple ones like Sarah, Serina (sir-ree-nuh), and some other ones. Hope I can help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
