I'd like to be able to say "Yes" to your question but frankly, I just don't know for sure. I'm sure all Christians would love to say "Yes." Problem is .... our self preservation instinct may just be stronger than we know. If that gun were held to our heads or the ax were placed over our arm or leg I'm not sure any of us would be able to say "I AM A CHRISTIAN" and then take the punishment promised if we said it.
Can we all say that we're better followers of Christ than Peter was? He was very close to Jesus and he still denied he even knew Jesus ... all out of fear over what the people asking might do. He felt so bad about it that when his time did come to be crucified .... he insisted that he be placed on the cross upside down. He felt unworthy to be crucified the same way as the LORD he had denied. Can you say you'd do better than Peter? Probably not.
Part of the problem is, IMO, not all of us are really sure we're going to the reward in Heaven when we die.
Then there's the pain factor ..... as well as that cowardice factor we all share.
I'm just not sure I could say "Yes" like I should.

yes, I will never deny Christ. Look at our schools, students are not allowed to pray, where Christian T-shirts, or have Christian programs on school property after school is out like other clubs....
