I just watched a report on CNN that made wonder how I am perceived on the basis of my height.
For the women, do you prefer taller men?

For a guy, you're on the shorter side, but don't worry, shorter guys are much more handsome than tall guys anyway.

My guess is that is depends on how tall the woman is, since generally, women tend to pair up with men that are taller than they are. However, this is not always the case.
Personally, I don't care about a guy's height, unless they are over 6 feet (too tall for me on a long-term basis, I'm under 5'4). However, I've definitely been attracted to men ranging from 5'4 to 6'11.

Well yes it is, I believe 5'8" - 5'9" is the average for males worldwide but in america being 6 foot tall + has a lot of advantages. Its typically more attractive to women and taller people typically make higher salaries which translates into having more respect from people.
So there are tons of disadvantages to being 5'8" but they will vary on a person to person basis. Look at Tom Cruise and Tobi Macguire they are short and they seem to be doing well for themselves.

5'8" is not short.
i guess depends on how tall the girl is.
yeah i'd want a guy taller than me, but i'm 5'5" so that's cool.
i think most women want a guy that's taller than them, but remember there are a lotta short women lol.

Nope it's pretty average now in days. Hell I'm 5'8. Don't let your height determine how much of man you are or aren't. There are plenty of dumb tall people how have no clue how to be a man. Hope that helps.

Well not short but not tall. I mean most girls are usually 5'6 5'7 and if your like me i would like my guy to be a few inches taller. But my bf is 6'5 so i don't have a problem lol

nope. dude, you're right smack in the middle. besides, i can tell you right now, that most of the women who answer this will say that it doesn't matter how tall you are. some of the more shallow ones will say that you should be taller, but it really doesn't matter in teh long run.

i'm 5'7" and 14 so that might be a little short for a guy.
