nnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! it is not very common fir your feet to swell once a tattoo has been done. i have a few of my own. regardless of location, the only area that should swell is the area that was actually tattood. even then the only area should be where the skin was actually punctured.

yeah a bit...keep an eye on it...
Take bandage off in 2 hours
Wash tattoo carefully with warm soapy water
DO NOT SCRUB
Lightly pat the tattoo until dry…
DO NOT RUB
Apply a very thin coat of bacitracin or aquaphor ointment 3 times a day for 3 to 5 days
Although re-bandaging a tattoo is not recommended, if covering the tattoo is necessary a sterile bandage or dressing should be used.
Be sure and wash the tattoo every night and morning…
DO NOT SOAK
Avoid tattoo exposure to direct sunlight and refrain from swimming in fresh, salt or chlorinated water for at least 2 weeks.
After External Healing
Tattoos heal quickly BUT fading can still be a problem
Apply hand lotion once a day until dryness stops
Vaseline Intensive Care, Lubriderm, Nivea, etc...
Tanning fades tattoos
Always cover fully healed tattoo with sun block
DO NOT RUIN YOUR INVESTMENT!!!

It's normal. You're putting an abrasion on an area with thin skin, and is used quite extensively. Add to that wearing shoes and socks, and you're inviting an extended healing period.
Try to take it as easy on your foot as possible. Go barefoot at home, kick your shoes off under the desk at work, if possible, and stay off your feet as much as you can during the next 2 weeks.
If you start to get red lines surrounding the area, or a burning sensation, go see your doctor immediately...you've most likely developed an infection (it's rare, but can happen).

Um, no. I have about a 3 inch hourglass tattoo on the top of my foot, and it didn't "swell." But, I'd do like everyone else said, go see a doctor maybe...and keep it clean!

it would be abnormal if the foot didn't swell. i got both of my feet tattooed and they swole to the point that i had to limp around everywhere i went for over a week. the best thing to do is keep it elevated as much as possible until the swelling goes down.

Yes, though the swelling should go down within a week.
Take care of your tattoo and you shouldn't have problems.

sure thats very favourite!! Mine became swollen for approximately 4 days or perhaps something of that week it wasn't thoroughly back to favourite. only save it greater as much as attainable and take some tylenol to maintain a number of the swelling down. it incredibly is going to be back to favourite interior of a week or so :)

Yes, depending on the area that you tattooed it. It will be swollen because of the pressure that was put on it. If it doesn't go down in a week, you should see your doctor. However, I doubt it and you should be fine. =)
