I have tried Head and Shoulders but that does seem to take it completely away. Is there anything that you have used that seems to work really well???

Yes. Arbonne a great self adjusting daily shampoo and conditioner that are formulated with natural tree oil to treat dry flaky scalp. Native to Australia, tea tree oil is known as “The wonder from down under.” :-) It's a natural, super-potent oil that treats dry, flaky scalp, so that both the head and hair are left nourished, and flake-free. It's botanically based without alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, and mineral oil formulated with key ingredients including nanospheres, nettle, hops, sage and thyme extracts, vitamins A, C, E. They are also water based to help penetrate the dermis of your skin to deeply condition and hydrate. They are dermatologist tested, pH correct, and made with natural ingredients for maximum benefit. If you're interested in learning more, I'll be happy to help you.

Go to a health-food type store and find a shampoo that's made of tea tree oil. It might sting a little bit but it'll loosen all of that dead skin on your scalp so you can comb it out. Use it 1 or 2 times a week to keep it from getting really dry again.
