Does anyone know a cure for chronic dry lips. I am very well hydrated and use vaseline 3-4 times a day on my lips. I do not wear lip gloss or lipstick as my lips are constantly chapped and dry. Any tips for Chronic dry/chapped lips?

Buy a humidifier for your house and keep a strip of bacon clamped between you lips when you are outside. Keep a keen eye out for large dogs. You will find that you will have a difficult time dating anybody who is a vegetarian .Don't swallow the damn thing, it will blow your diet. Good Luck.! ....PS. this may or may not work but it brings a great mental picture to mind.

you may be licking your lips more than you know.

Vaseline, chap-stick and other petroleum based products are the worst things you can use.

go to a health food store and buy something natural with Castor oil, olive oil, beeswax. you can find Burt's bees in many stores these days.

straight Castor oil is very healing, also.

You may think this is strange, but try olive oil. Rub it on your lips a few times a day at first and then just at night. I've done it and works really great!!

i use Carmex all the time! it is a serious live saver! it may tingle a little when you first put it on but it's normal! it works like magic! and it's really cheap, like $1.50 or something! put some on at night and it really will clear up. coat it on!!!
good luck!

try using Chapstick. Also, maybe consult with your doctor the next time that you see him, because it could be a sign of a bigger problem.
