I recommend firefox but it probably is like that bcuz ur computer is probably running so many things and boots with alot of stuff causing ur downloads to eventually stop

There are several reasons:
1. Internet connection speed is slow
2. Files to download is too large
3. Files trying to download is corrupted
4. You are running too many programs at the same time.

contact your servive provider and ask them to extend the download time.
also you need to geta free download manager. this way when you get cut off the program will start where you left off the next time you try to finish the download. no more starting over. :))

loss of internet connection, downloading mutliple things at once, download failure (from download server)
Also it could be that IE does not like you. (I'll admit that that was kidding but the rest were serious)
