I think the name of the dish is moodifah anamuha
its actually chicken, with rice, assortment of vegetables and creamed potato...i had this in egypt and its just about 3dollars a plate...the chicken is so succulent, served in a very generous portion and taste so perfectly heavenly good, the rice is not the sort you would choke on...its so well seasoned and fluffy...smellls mmm so good!! theres about at least 11 varieties of vegetables diced (carrots, peas, turnip, chestnut, celery, sweet potato, corn, eggplant, chilli, tomato, cucmbers
and placed onto a cabbage leave and wrapped neatly and the creamed potatoes tasted a million times better than our mashed potatoes...i don't know how they do it but its great!!!

My mom used to make beef shortribs and noodles in a pressure cooker. Not sure how she did it, but the end result was rich, flavorful, the meat tender, juicy, and filling. She served it with a salad and homemade cherry pie. My mom was a wonderful cook, made things from scratch, and was in to preserving the natural taste of food, which meant that she didn't use a lot of spices or herbs. In its simplicity, each meal was a delight to the senses and made me feel satisfied and "home". Wish she was still around to cook some more! :)

When I was in Bondi Beach, Australia I went to this brilliant little Italian restaurant, Papa Giovanni's, and had the greatest Mushroom Rissotto & Sticky Date Pudding. If I didnt live in Florida Id be there daily.

The Risotto was perfectly creamy and fresh, tender but not soggy or sticky.

The Date pudding was moist and delectable and ripe with flavor and chunks of fruit.

What jumps out in my mind is my grandmothers macaroni and cheese. It was cheddery and creamy with crusty bits around the edges. She made it using slabs of cheese and layers of noodles and cream sauce.
She would cook up a big pot of green beans that she had picked out of the backyard and cooked until tender. All this was served with a ham that had been slowly cooking all day with pineapple rings and studded with cloves.
She passed away almost twenty one years to the day. I still miss her and her cooking.
