So anytime you think about Jesus, the neurons in your brain light up in associations that form a concept. This concept is an acumen of the word Jesus as it is heard, written, read, spoken, and everything associated with the concept, such as religion, people in church, bible stories, etc.
Now everyone's concept of Jesus is unique to them because of this, it's a fact of being an individual with different life experiences. Now we all know Jesus was not actually Jesus's real name (there's no J in Hebrew, it was part of a mistranslation, see sources) so even the name/word that ties these associations together is wrong (historically), showing that only the concept of Jesus is important, and the life experiences that make that concept for each person. So why is it so important to accept Jesus instead of a similar concept such as Mohammad or Buddha, or all of them? If Jesus were a bee hive, and associations bees, other bees could join or leave the hive. Just like neurons in flux.

Any one bee isn't the hive, not even 100 bees. It is the whole that is the hive, so why not accept the whole of human spirituality that promotes the messages of Jesus (peace, acceptance, brotherhood, etc.) Yes, he said "through me is the only way to Heaven", but what if it's simply metaphor for "the only way for you to have peace and happiness is to accept others" Only though his message (that as far as he knew, he was the only one preaching it) would you find Heaven; happiness.

But you HAVE to use similar conecpts to define another concept, it's the very foundation on how we work! We cannot ever understand something in and of itself without comparing it to something else, and that forms associations! A linguist friend of mine said that he spent 20 yeas of his life studying language to realize it's all metaphor, and comparative.

when Jesus said "through me is the only way to Heaven", he wasn't speaking of himself as his human self but as an earthly manifestation of God, so he didn't really mean that HE bodily and physically was the way, but what he represented, which is Love and the divine energy of God which is everything and everywhere
and that thing about his name, i'm sure Jesus himself would agree that his earthly name is of less importance, but what he represented and stood for is what should be understood and followed

You nailed it on the head when you said that the concept is based on everything you heard about Jesus.
The reason, as you are implying, as to why you can't worship Buddha, is because everyone around you is not worshipping Buddha, they are worshipping Jesus, so the acumen (nice word BTW) is centered on Jesus, not Buddha.
For people who can only use their brains, this is bad, but for people who can think outside of the box (i.e. the brain) then they can worship whatever they want to worship. They can worship pixies, although in my opinion that wouldn't be very intelligent of a thing to do.

Clearly your belief will depend upon your background/culture.
Your 'God' has provided Jesus as your model, in another culture it could have been Budha, Mohammad et al.
The 'God comittee' has produced many 'sons of God'and this continues to this day.
Jesus is not unique but is just more special/familiar to you.
In effect Jesus is/was another God messenger, the sad thing is that no matter how many divine messengers we receive we do not heed the message! Which simply is 'love your neighbour'.

Jesus on the brain? I hope so. If we have the mind of Christ then we have access into the most Holy of Holies in the heavenly sanctuary.
Does the name matter? We in the english language understand that Jesus lived, died and rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. He is the Son of the living God. He is our mediator, intercessor, counselor, saviour, Lord, Redemeer, Creator. He spoke and it happened. His word gives life.
Mohammad, Buddha are still dead in the grave.
1st Cor 6v11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
EPH 5v
26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
John 15v
7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Hey...interesting way of putting things...i have always wondered some of the same things...first of all i think that everyone is curious about jesus....b/c it is our nature to question truth...God created us...and we all have a measure of faith inside of us...another thing...i asked myself if i had parents who were followers of another religion other than christianity...what would i believe...there is no good way to answer that except that i was brought up with christian values...and i should just thank god and consider it a blessing that i found truth...i was brought up in a christian home...but it wasn't until i was almost 17 that i accepted christ in my life...it is 100% an individual decision...but it is cool to know that Jesus loves you even if you dont love him back!!

In the Holy Bible Jesus says that no one can enter heaven except through him that is why it so important to accept Jesus. He came on Earth to die for our sins and redeemed us from the doom of hell only if we accept him into our hearts.
The Greatest Man in History: Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

you've got it wrong. agreed there is no "J" in Hebrew, but the pronounciation is the same for Y, H, and J. Also, the concept of Jesus isn't dependant on how His name is pronounced or spelled, but what He did and why He did it. You could call Him Yesu Kristos if you want. I just prefer Jesus christ.
and it's not a matter of brain chemistry, but perception (acceptance) of a concept.

rise up each morning, bow your knees and supply Him the day. do not conceal in sin, however run to Him each time you dedicate one. Galations five:sixteen This I say then, Walk within the Spirit, and ye shall no longer fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Sounds like you are tripping. Christ is like a beehive? Anything could be like a beehive. Anything could be anything! If my Grandmother had wheels she'd be a trolley car. Maybe instead of Jesus on the brain, you've got a bee in your butt!
