This guy has asked me out to the movies. He insists on paying, so when he does, is it ok if I kiss him on the cheek as I say thanks?

Go for it and see his reaction. If he seems to like it, ur obviously in there!! But if not just pretend it was like something u do wiv everyone - guy and girl friends!!

Yes. That's fine. If you look up the different meanings of different kisses..a kiss on the cheek is more of a friendly kiss. Go for it.

Depends how old the two of you are. Younger guys easily take things the wrong way, so you may not want to give him a peck on the cheek if he's under, uh, 30.
I'm being serious- I'm young and still take it the wrong way :)

Kiss has lots of meaning, and sometimes defends on the person how she/he takes it.
Like:
Kiss on the forehead means respect
Kiss on the chick means friendly kiss, thanks, sympathy greetings.
Kiss on the lips means of course for intimacy.
So tell him what the kiss means to you if you does it. So he won't misunderstood it.
