In the beginning when I 1st met him he talked over the phone but his convo was a lil dull & I payed it no mind. Now his excuse is he's too busy to talk so he prefers to text message. Sometimes I just wanna hear his voice but I can't call. This sucks but I deal with it b/c I like him.

He feels more comfortable in writing. Text messaging gives him more of a chance to think and edit. You have said yourself his verbals are dull. Maybe he feels the same way.

Let him know you accept him.

I find I do the same thing. I'll text a girl in a heartbeat, but I'm not too big on phone conversation. Usually I am busy with work or school, so it's just more convenient.

some people are not good at starting or maintaining conversations. when he texts, he can take as long as he wants to reply and he doesn't have to say a whole lot. on the phone there is a lot of awkward silence.
why don't you two just talk in person instead of on the phone or through texts.

maybe he knows he's dull on the phone, so he's reverted to texting! Or maybe he just doesnt like talking on the phone, I don't! I would much rather talk via text than on the phone!

Either he's a dork, he's afraid he'll say something stupid, or he's just a normal person who doesn't like phone conversations.

Some people just hate talking on the phone. My ex, for instance. In her early 20s, around phones her whole life. She feels awkward on them and would rather txt, chat online, or talk in person (mostly the latter).

Some guys are just not phone people. My bf isn't either. But he does text a lot & he's 33. I think its cause I talk to fast & it bugs him over the phone. But you just have to decide if it bugs you too much or if you can deal with it.... if not ...

you probably did the final ingredient to kick him out.......He would not appreciate you or your relationship...and he truthfully would not appreciate the kinfolk you have made at the same time. He looked as though it would think of he ought to flee with walking throughout you and that heavily isn't right....you will possibly nicely be a sturdy self sufficient woman, and are available across a guy that respects you and your toddlers.

Well, I think he is losing interest. And he is too busy? Well, he obviously wasn't in the beginning. You are like one of my friends, unsure of what to do. Well, I would think that you ask him again, and ask why he isn't allowing you to call, and make him give you a truthful answer. I believe he is losing interest, possibly. Best of luck to ya!
