I only reported one question....it had a link that when you click it, you got stuck with the flashing screen screaming out "I'm looking at gay porn!" that is impossible to close. That was a long time ago....now I know just to ignore it (and not to just click on any link.)
I'm assuming people are reporting anything they don't agree with. Some people need to mature just a bit.

Me too. The problem is less in the reporting than in the refereeing; the evidence is convincing that the referees haven't the intelligence to break out of a cardboard box on a rainy day. I have complained frequently and vociferously about this, and have yet to receive an intelligent answer from anyone.

This, it seems to me, is an issue you might want to take up with Y!A. It seems that Yahoo takes a very conservative approach to this, and that is their privilege since they are paying for this.
The issue they face is that so many posters cannot restrain themselves from easily giving offense or easily taking offense that the conservative approach seems to be the only choice.
The other approach you might take is consistently answering what you take to be offensive as early as you can with the single sentence: this is intentionally offensive. If your judgment is respected, you will soon discover that people with just stop reading. It would be a community service.

David M was having trouble with several of them this morning. Unfortunately they were all Evangelicals and were reporting him for some unknown reason. I am not sure why evangelicals would randomly report a Catholic?
These were people who post here all the time, and I thought were giving honest answers to questions, but it appears that they banded together to arbitrarily go after people.

I have only reported 3 times and those were for severe personal insults towards others. I don't give a rat's *** about the rules.

I will report a question or answer if it violates the rules. The #1 violation is the spammers who post multiple copies of their question (spam...anyone remember "FINALLY a Legitimate Website that Makes you Money!!!") over and over. I don't report something just because I disagree with the answer or the question. That is childish.

I have reported a couple of questions. One person wanted to exterminate all the Jews. Another was about killing all Atheists.
If a person is giving a general opinion and it is negative or wrong, then I usually just talk to them about it to understand why they think they way they do.

I've never reported a question in religion and spirituality; I report questions that are obviously offensive/inapropriate (sexist/racist/hateful/perverted etc)

I wish I could understand myself. I have only reported abuse an a couple of occasions and was because someone had posted pornographic links which have no place here in my opinion.
