Burt's Bees makes a cuticle cream for humans. It is made from avocado oil , beeswax, and other natural ingredients. I have used it on my dog's paws when we lived in the country, and it healed her right up.
You can get Burt's Bees at the Natural Food store or at Border's.
Good luck

not to contradict anyone--
Vaseline is a poor choice because it is made from petroleum by products and can seal bacteria in the skin, causing a further problem.

There is a product called "Vermont's Bag Balm". It's a small, square, green, tin can with red clovers and a bull, on top of the lid. You can find it in any pet store, walmart, or drug store. It is non-toxic, and it works for almost anything you can imagine, for both dogs and humans. It looks like vaseline, but has medicinal properties in it. I use it on my chihuahuas, for their paw pads, scrapes, scratches, rashes, dry skin, etc..., and it works great! Just keep applying it.

Get some Happy Jack pad coat--it puts a coating on the pads that will heal them and make it easier to walk until they heal.

As the first answer said, my vet also recommended Vasaline. Just enough to coat the paws twice a day (depends on how big your dog is).

My vet recommended using Vaseline. You need to be careful not to over-do it because you don't want your dog's pads to get too soft.
