I came into the uk as an international student but within the time of my studying, the rest of my family relocated to the uk. It's coming to the end of my student visa (oct 2007) but i cannot return to my home country as my family has now relocated to the uk... Will it be possible to get a dependency visa even though i'm 22 this year? (my mum has a work permit and the rest of the family joined her as dependents)...

I'm rather surprised you're asking us. What don't you ask the Home Office?

I can tell you that nationals of certain Commonweath countries can remain in the UK on a temporary basis until the age of 24 under reciprocal agreements. That means you would be classed as independent of your parents, but would have right of abode (including the right to work).
