When some as_s clown yells out some studpid line like "your the man" right when contact is made when any player takes his shot. That is so old and yet these idiots think they are cool. What is the ball going to listen to the drunken fool?

Annoying as hell indeed! I think some of these people are the same ones that try to sneak cameras and cell phones onto the course, and people wonder why some of the players are so rude and don't want to interact with the spectators.
Now, I really do like that tourny in AZ on that par 3 where the crowd erupts and goes nuts after every players shot. That hole where Tiger got the 'loudest hole-in-one ever' as it has become to be known. That's pretty cool, but I wouldn't mind at all seeing a shanked driver shot bouncing off the head of one of these "you da man" screamers anyday.

It's not the same person that goes to every tournament that does this. You have to figure that if Jerry Springer can get 8 idiots to come on his show every day and bare their *ss to the world, a roving circus like the PGA, that brings their show right to your neigborhood, will find at least one baboon that gets a kick out of doing this and makes a point of being heard. Just accept the idiocy. It can't be avoided.

They do it for their "love" of the player. Personally I think its annoying if they keep repeating it...I mean if they do it just once I guess its fine.
