I'm a 35 year old male, I just started smoking cigarettes today. I smoked five and a half, half meaning I didn't finish the other one and well I didn't inhale it to my lungs incase anything bad happened to my lungs or I get addicted but I felt pretty relaxed, which I liked.

Anyhow is there any way I can smoke but prevent any cancer? I mean, smoking responsibly like a few every months or days or something or special occasions. Such as taking a few breaks.

No there is no way to prevent cancer. Smoking also causes respiratory problems and if you have never seen and End Stage COPD patient I suggest you look up this info. This is one of the worst things to have to go through all because you had to have a cigarette. End stage COPD patients are on continuous oxygen and yet they are still are hungry and gasping to try to get more air. The best you can do is offer anti-anxiety meds to try to calm them down but it really does not for the air hunger. Is lung disease worth it to smoke? I think not.

Why have you suddenly started smoking now? Are you trying to look cool to a group of people?

The only way to smoke responsibly, as a beginner, is to grow up and throw the rest away. People who smoke are usually tense and trying to relax. You're just trying to smoke to say that you're smoking. The smell on your clothes, breath and furniture must be awful.

I lost a friend who was 38 years old to lung cancer in October. She left a 4 year old daughter behind and the little girls natural father is dead also. There was a custody battle, and it was a terrible time. Please don't consider smoking, it is not just about your health but the loved ones around you.

OMG. Unbelievable.

If you didn't inhale, then you didn't get relaxed from the cigarettes.

WHY would you start smoking and don't you think if there was a away to smoke and not have it damage your body that no one would have heart disease or cancer from it?

THINK. As Napoleon would say......IDIOT!
