Quite far actually, Dongguan is another city, If travel by taxi depend on the traffic 50 min to 2 hours Via highway. Or you can go by train, also about an hour, have fun.

It's actually not really close...Dong Guan is a big city bordering Guangzhou, and it is about 50km away from Guangzhou centre, so depending on trafic, it will take between 40 minutes and a couple of hours...Once it took me two hours just to get out of Guangzhou centre...You should think about staying near the Fair grounds and save precious time, you still have almost a month and the fair organization usually blocks rooms for delegates in most of the major hotels in town...

Its quite a distance - if you are looking to stay closeby and want a western style hotel stay at The Shangri La Hotel. And make sure you visit Wing Tang Salon for hair and nails! He is also at the Shangr La in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
