I'm an atheist and am just trying to "ask a question".

Then my father will certainly find me in the afterlife, and say those four words that all children dread ....

"I told you so!"

From what I understand of polytheistic paganism, there isn't any "punishment" after death for not following the right pantheon of gods/goddesses. As far as any other polytheistic religions that might believe otherwise, I guess I'll just be out of luck.

If polytheists are right, many "gods" would not have a problem with me as long as I worshipped a "god" However, if I am right and polytheists are wrong I am probably in a better position.

However, I think that God will judge our hearts. If we hear a true representation of the Gospel of Jesus, we are responsible for what we do with it. However, if you never hear the Gospel then I believe you will be judged according to the light you recieve. If you are born a Hindu and are never introduced to anything but Hinduism, if you seek to follow the truth faithfully, I believe Jesus will except that service as His own.

You see, the difference between polytheists and monotheists is that we conceed that the god monotheists follow probably does tell his followers he's the only one.

So we can't hold them responsible for believing their god!

Then we would be wrong. Either way, no one is going to know until it all comes to an end. Whatever makes you happy, go with it. Leave everyone else alone. That goes for the monotheists too. Believe what you want, it's your business.

I asked a similar question. You might get some people who will tell you that you don't know a damn thing about religion.

I'm sure they will inform the gods that Divinity is in fact one entity and the gods got it wrong...it says so in the Bible.

Mayor you should have added "Atheist" to the title, I'm taking a lot of thumbs downs here. I suppose my entire life will be ruined because a few fundies took the time to digitally disapprove...NNNOOOOOO!!!! lol.
