your not going to goto jail, don't worry about that.
This about it if they put everyone who owes money in jail our jails would be so packed.....

Just either try and make a settlement deal with them which could reduce your total to maybe half. or make a payment schedule to get them off your back.

They will always find you no matter where you go and you'll have bad credit for years and years.

Try to at least pay something even if its 20 bucks a month, your still paying something.

You cannot go to jail for a credit card debt. I don't know exactly what's your situation, but you can send a partial cease and desist letter by usps registered certified return mail, requesting the lawyers to not call your place of employment and that they can only contact you in writing.

You are NOT going to jail. That is a scare tactic they use. You can tell them politely to not call you at work, then if they continue to call you, it's harassment.
Get yourself in a debt management program FAST.
The listings on Suze Orman's website are all reputable and will help you settle it.

They are trying to collect a debt. If they can locate an employer; they can garnish your wages. You can lie; but it will catch with you sooner or later. Talk to them and try to work out some sort of financial arrangements.
