Some Suggestions:
1. Hide the phone so it's not too easy to get to (hope you don't want to answer it either!)
2. Preoccupy yourself with something that takes a lot of concentration (puzzle)
3. Go outside, away from the phone-exercise
4. Call someone else

You can email them, or you can put a timer on for 30 minutes, and bake something or do something entertaining, and when the timer goes off, you may be busy doing something so your mind will be completely off of the phone, or if you still want to call, call them when the buzzer goes off. It's hard!

Hope this helps!

Refocus. If you can't control yourself write them a letter. You have the option to give it to them later or discard it. But atleast it gets whatever you are wanting to say to them out of your system. Perhaps it will make for a better conversation. You've already thought out exactly what you want to say.

Do something to get your mind on something else. Watch tv, read a magazine, book, do your nails, etc. If they have Caller ID, then they know you called & now it's their turn to play phone tag.
