The question is vague. It died of kidney failure I understand that, but people are answering questions about dog food and getting a lawyer. What gives was it from tainted dog food, negligence or did it just die from kidney failure and if that's the case I don't think theres a phone number for that? Sorry I'm confused about the question.

Here's a link to the latest news, which you probably already have. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-03-20-pet-food_N.htm?csp=34

Thing is, all the TV and news say only 14 known animals have died...how can this be true when everywhere we look new dogs and cats are dieing. This is so sad...so sad.

What's going to be even worse is when humans die. There are many poor people that eat the dog and cat food because it is cheaper than "people food". So sad.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Words, in a situation like this, won't bring back your friend...but our hearts are with you.

If you are seeking compensation bc your dog ate one of the tainted foods, you need to take the body to a veterinarian pathologist and have a necropsy (aka autopsy) performed on him asap so you can have documentation to prove that it was due to the food.

Go to the website of the company that you bought the food from. If it is a "store brand", then go to the Menu foods website - they will give you the information.
