Check out the movie Employee of the Month. The movie wasn't very good overall but it was cute what Dane Cook's character set up as a first date with Jessica Simpson's character. Maybe it could give you some ideas.

Surely it depends on the person you are taking out on a date.

Me I would hate the whole limousine bling thing or the guy that said 'private jet, new york, times square' thing - that'd be an absolute turn-off for me.

I'd love a nice walk in the country with a picnic. But its not that unusual.

Anything to do with food would have me bowled over especially if my date had obviously done their homework. Like found a little restaurant on the south coast that did perfect oysters. Or cooked my favourite meal without ever asking me what it was or did ask but did it anyway (cos my favourite meal would be very complicated for an amateur cook). I once had a date take me to his favourite deli and we just bought stuff and ate it in bed - fantastic.

Something with a hint of suspense is always fun - a treasure hunt!

In and around London I reccomend Tower 42, Shakespeare's Globe, Dungeoness, and Brighton PLeasure Beach. I'm sure amongst those you'll find something to please your date - whatever they are into a bit of bling, culture, weird outdooryness or just plain fun.

Hi
Something thats stimulates as many senses as possible. Somewhere you can listen to her, somewhere she can see your face (for the wonderful reactions to her jokes). Perhaps somehwere you can taste something, smell something (fresh air is as good as an Italian kitchen) and feel like you are the only two people that matter. Dont worry about money or lack of it, the fact that you have bothered to think about everything to make your time together enjoyable is one of the finest triats a man can display. Good luck!
